A Wee Moose

"Ach, Ah'm a braw wee beastie, an' tha's th' trrooth. Ah've bin called many nemes, d'ye ken, an' no' alluv 'em kained. Mah favoorrite 'as t'be from a lass, a 'uman no less, who said Ah wus a wee moose. Weel noo, tha' jes' tickled me, an' so Ah've gone bah th' neme Moose e'er since!"*

*English translation if you need it: "So I'm a brave small beast and that's the truth. I've been called many names, don't you know, and not all of them kind. My favorite has to be from a girl, a human no less, who said I was a wee mouse. Well now, that just tickled me and so I've gone by the name of Moose ever since!"

Very silly, I know, but the idea just popped into my head when I saw JessKitt's contest for coming up with a character that goes by the name of Moose. I've another idea tickling my head and I'll probably finish that one as well. This one was more fun. To explain a bit further, the Highland accent, in Scotland, is a bit thick until you train your ear. One thing that I found endearing was how they pronounced "mouse," some of them do say it like "moose." So, that's how Moose the Mouse came about! Hope ye like it! Ach aye!
